On Thursday 25th May students and staff at Bluecoat Wollaton took part in ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ Day of Prayer.
Students were invited to open the day with ‘Breakfast with God’, a popular opportunity offered previously during the period of Lent, in which students were offered a chance to worship with a free breakfast. Along with prayers to start every lesson and to close for lunch, continuous prayer slots were offered throughout the day with the team of Christian Youth Workers in which students engaged in various prayer activities.
On the afternoon, 12 students from the New Gen Leadership Group took place in a ‘Prayer Walk’ around the school. Beth Hampton from the group reflecting on the event said “it was a fascinating experience that allowed us to look upon parts of the Academy not previously considered important and see their valuable contribution to school life.”
