Bluecoat Wollaton is a highly successful, heavily over-subscribed, Church of England Academy in the heart of Nottingham, with Bluecoat itself being associated with more than 300 years of proud history in the city. At Wollaton, we have more than 750 in our academy with children in Year 7 through to Year 11. We are over-subscribed in every year group.
How do I submit an appeal for Bluecoat Wollaton Academy?
Appeals need to be submitted in writing directly to the academy. An appeal can be in the form of an email, letter or completed ‘BWA Appeal Form for Intake Sept 2021’ form available on the academy website. Details in the appeal must include; child’s name, date of birth, gender, full address as well as parent/carers name, relationship to child, contact number and email address. When does an appeal for Year 7 Intake Sept 2021 have to be submitted by?
The decision letter you received from the local authority will give a deadline for lodging the appeal. Temporary regulations in place to support appeals during the Covid 19 pandemic have extended the deadline for submitting appeals from 20 to 28 days. The deadline for submitting appeals for year 7 September 2021 intake is Monday 29th March 2021. If you have passed this deadline, your appeal will still be heard however this may cause delays and may not be heard at the same time as the appeals submitted on time.
