Bluecoat Wollaton year 10 students attended a conference at Nottingham Trent University aimed at helping them achieve their target grades in English.
Students reported that the day was excellent and that they had taken ideas away which they could use in their writing.
Mrs Shirtcliffe said that she was very proud of all the Bluecoat Wollaton students who attended adding that those running the conference commented how impressed they were with our students both for attitude to learning and behaviour.
At the end of the day a number of students were asked to present their work to all the delegates; particularly highlighted were Amber Harker-Smith, Yousuf Ajaz and Eeman Iqbal who all received a teacher’s vote for outstanding student. Amber received the highest number of votes of any student attending.
