Every five years the Church of England inspect their schools and academies.  In May 2016 Bluecoat Academy (now Bluecoat Wollaton Academy & Bluecoat Aspley Academy) had their Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) inspection.  In all four categories of the inspection we were graded “outstanding”. We were thrilled that, once again, Bluecoat achieved an ‘outstanding’ report which reflected the hard work and commitment of a whole team of staff working together with students and parents. We are extremely grateful to the parents who came in to help with this inspection. Our Christian Distinctiveness Coordinator, working with our youth workers and the support of Governors, all made this outcome possible.

This was an opportunity to genuinely celebrate the great faith centred work that takes place daily at Bluecoat Wollaton Academy.  We were especially thankful to our friends at St Margaret’s Church who give up so much time to help with services and support our community of learners led at the time by Reverend Hutchinson who worked tirelessly both as a Governor and church leader to fulfil our mission to be a distinctively Christian Academy.
