Dear student,

GCSE results have this week been reviewed by the Department for Education and Ofqual meaning that for GCSE qualifications, the best of the Centre Assessed Grade (CAG) and Calculated grade created by the exam board will now be awarded.

Unfortunately, due to late developments to vocational qualifications, a grade for these qualifications will not be being awarded on this date.  We will update students who are awaiting on these grades as soon as they have been released by the exam board.

‘Indicative CAGs’ will be uploaded to Go4Schools and released to students at 8am on Thursday 20th August 2020. These are the grades that the school submitted to the exam board which reflect students’ overall performance across the year, based on a range of formal and informal assessments. Until that time, Go4S is being locked down under the embargo and will not be accessible to students.

At the point of writing, our understanding is that printed statements of results will be available at some point next week and will be posted home to you as soon as possible for your records. We believe that the exam series in the Autumn term will go ahead in order to provide an opportunity to sit an exam, should you still find that you are disappointed with any grade achieved this summer.

Sixth Form Enrolment
Sixth Form enrolment to Archway Learning Trust Sixth Forms (Bluecoat Aspley Sixth Form and The Nottingham Emmanuel School Sixth Form) will still go ahead as planned using the Centre Assessed Grades which will be shared with you on Go4Schools on Thursday. Please see the information and letter from the Head of Sixth Form about this process on the school website news & events.
