Knowing certain info makes decision making easier. It answers questions such as:

Explore different occupations using the LMI for All Careerometer widget

The widget can be used to explore and compare key information about occupations help of learn about different occupations and identify potential careers.

It provides access to a selection of UK headline data relating to pay, weekly hours of work and future employment prospects for different occupations, as well as description of the occupation.

Simply type in the title of the job you are interested in and the widget provides a series of options from which you can select the most relevant to you. You can then look up another two occupations and compare. You can also select ‘display the UK average’ and compare the information with the occupation you have selected.

D2N2 has identified eight key sectors of economic growth: Transport Equipment Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Food and Drink Manufacturing, Construction, Visitor Economy, Low Carbon (Goods/Services), Transport and Logistics, and Creative Industries.

Below are some of the largest employers in Nottinghamshire.

The NHS is by far the biggest employer in the area, with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust alone employing over 25,000 people in Nottinghamshire. Employing almost 20,000 people, Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council are the second and third largest employers in the area respectively. The city council employ people in a large range of roles, and offer work experience, apprenticeships and a graduate programme.

Much more than a pharmacy, in addition to its core business, Boots has numerous roles in retail, supply, and administrative support. Employing over 6,000 people, Boots is the largest private sector employer in the region. In addition to their graduate programmes, Boots also offer Apprenticeships.

E.ON SE is a European electric utility company based in Essen, Germany. It runs one of the world’s largest investor-owned electric utility service providers.

With over 5,000 staff, E.ON is the seventh largest employer in Nottinghamshire. As with many other employers, the range of roles they have is vast, and they offer a number of different routes through apprenticeships, degree apprenticeships, graduate & undergraduate placements.
