On Monday 25 October, a group of 14 Bluecoat Wollaton pupils went to the Nottingham Emmanuel School to celebrate the European Day of Languages. To celebrate this day and to build awareness of the use of languages and the benefits of being able to speak foreign languages, a member from GCHQ came to deliver a presentation on the jobs and opportunities that knowing a foreign language can assist with. He also spoke about what GCHQ do and the work they are involved in. Our students interacted superbly and were extremely engaged throughout the whole day; asking great questions and really making an effort to take the most out of the Persian/Russian sessions. A massive congratulations to the following pupils: Simeon Lord, Lucy Middleton, Jack Magner, Sasha Duguid, Katherine Chadwick-Dawes, Isobelle Edwards, Matthew Jackson, Sulyman Hayat, Andrew Arkle, Joy Oduro, Abigail Charlesworth, Gabriel Wells-Potter, Rosa Reade and Sarah McCarthy.
