Year 7
Physical ME - Agility
Students will be encouraged to look at the movement of their body so that they can change direction comfortably in a variety of situations.
Social ME - Share
This topic aims to look at the concept of sharing their physical activity so that a greater outcome can be acheived for individuals and groups.
Thinking ME - Imagination
Students will look at using their imagination to create high levels of performance and how to harness their creative side.
Mindset ME - Attempt
To improve confidence and self esteem students will learn that it may take several attempts to improve and that the concept of trying is the fisrt step to success.
Physical ME - Balance
Physical focus will be given to improving the balance students have so that they can acheive higher levels of attainment in sporting activities.
Social ME - Respect
Using sport as a vehicle to improve the way students treat eachother and to respect all those around them no matter their status.
Thinking ME - Decision making
Students will look at how their decisions effect both physical performance and those around them in both positive and negative aspects.
Mindset ME - Self Confidence
In this unit, we look at how sport and physical activity can improve self confidence not only on the sports field but all aspects of life.
Physical ME - Control
In order to improve performance high levels of control are required. This topic looks to show how to improve control.
Social ME - Active Listening
Active Listening provides a sound basis to help create a safe working environment. Students will learn how to listen effectively to all viewpoints.
Mindset ME - Fun
Physical Activity and Sport should be fun and this unit focuses on enjoying the challenge and rewards it has to offer.
Year 8
Physical ME - Co-ordination
Co-ordination allows multiple movements when performing. In this unit, we look to sequence movements so that students can improve co-ordination and perform complex skills.
Social ME - Co-operate
Students are encouraged to work with eachother to reach a common goal. They learn to co-operate with eachother using various strategies.
Thinking ME - Problem Solving
We all encounter problems and sometimes we struggle to solve them. This topic aims to give students the tools required to solve any problems put in front of them.
Mindset ME - Persistence
The topic aims to show how persistence can improve students overall experience of sport and wellbeing.
Physical ME - Endurance
Students will aim to improve their endurance in a variety of ways so that they can improve their personal fitness and sporting performance.
Social ME - Responsibility
Students wil be placed out of their comfort zones and given responsibilities that they must reflect on and develop for the future.
Thinking ME - Evaluation & Analysis
Students will look in detail about their physical performances and personal wellbeing. They will learn the importance of evaluation and analyse, in depth, performance and outcomes.
Mindset ME - Self Management
Within this topic, students will look at self management. This includes personal responsibility of time and wellbeing as well as motivation and goal setting.
Physical ME - Fluency
A sign of good performance is ease and efficiency of movement. Fluency aims to give students the opportunity to hone this skill so that it becomes second nature.
Social ME - Effective Speaking
In line with written literacy strategies, students will look at how to give clear messages, using key terminolgy, inclination and pitch.
Thinking ME - Honesty
Students will learn the value of honesty and in lessons use this to gain self gratification and a sense of fulfilment.
Mindset ME - Enjoyment
Through discussion and experience, it is hoped that students will learn how enjoyment can be gained from challenging situations.
Year 9

Students look at all elements of strength to help their understanding of when they made need to use this in their physical activity as well as their daily lives
