Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th November 2018
Derby Diocese invited Bluecoat Wollaton to bring students to run workshops on different world faiths represented in our school. Students from the Christian, Muslim, Sikh and Hindu faiths at Bluecoat Wollaton were represented and delivered 40minute workshops to groups of between 15-25 students throughout the days.
Day one was held at Derby Cathedral School and saw students deliver to 172 primary school students.
Day two was held in the northern part of Derbyshire at Hartington Primary school and students delivered to 147 primary school students.
The workshops included presentations on what student’s faith meant to them personally, key elements of their faith (prayer, the holy book, festivals) and included fun activities for students to do including making Diva lamps.
It was a great experience for students involved and students were complimented on their confidence in delivery.
